My name is Glenn Tuazon and this is what a first date night is going to consist off, making a stained-glass box.
I like to build things, so I just jumped right in to see what could be improved upon. Soon I was making all sorts of stained-glass projects using straight lines and metals. I am attracted to the texture, colors, and how the light shines thru the glass. As I created my art pieces, I learned many different techniques, some of which put a smile on my face and some which I learned to avoid. Soon I was teaching a stained-glass box class at Vijon Studios in Old Saybrook.
My art is influenced by efficiency of the straight line and keeping everything even. I also love to include the fanciful metals into my projects to give it character. By using decorative soldering techniques, I can add texture and patina the metal into shades of copper, black, or the original silver coloration. I enjoy sharing my glass knowledge with others when teaching glass classes at Artfish42.
